How To Ride

Visit the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) Riding the TTC section of the TTC website to learn more about using the TTC.

Animals

Leashed pets or pets secured in an enclosed container are welcome to travel on the TTC during weekends and weekday off-peak periods -- that is before 6:30 a.m.; 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 pm; after 7:00 p.m. A service animal may accompany a passenger at any time. The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) reserves the right to refuse to carry any animal that shows any signs of aggression.

Bicycles

Bicycle racks are located on the front of all buses and can carry two bicycles so long as they do not impede the operator’s visibility. During weekday peak periods, 6:30 am to 10:00 am; and 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm, bicycles and other large objects are not allowed on TTC vehicles. The remainder of the time, bicycles can be transported inside vehicles when the racks are full or inoperable, at the transit operator's discretion, when there is space in the vehicle and other customers are not inconvenienced. Bicycles must not block the aisles.

Luggage and Strollers

Strollers, buggies and large articles are permitted on vehicles when there is space and it does not affect other customers. Customers are required to carry on and carry off their own items. For the safety of all customers, the aisles must not be blocked.

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) Lost Articles Office is located in the Bay subway station. The office is open to the public from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, except holidays. You can also call the office at 416-393-4100, Monday to Friday, 12 noon to 5:00 pm (except holidays).
