How To Ride

Visit the Milton Transit How To Ride section of the Milton Transit website to learn more about using Milton Transit.

Animals

Guide dogs and service animals are permitted onboard Milton Transit. When it is not apparent that an animal is a service animal, a letter from a physician or nurse confirming the passenger’s requirement for a service animal must be presented to the operator upon boarding. All other animals may be carried onboard as long as they are secured in a pet carrier that can fit between the seats and does not occupy the aisle. Exotic pets are prohibited.

Bicycles

All buses, on all routes, are equipped with bike racks which can be used at all times. They can hold two bicycles and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If the bike rack is full, please wait for the next available bus. Please note that you are responsible for loading and unloading your own bicycle.

Luggage and Strollers

Transporting bulky items, such as parcels and sporting equipment, is permitted as long as it is safe to do so, at the operator’s discretion. Bulky items brought onboard must be in your possession at all times, in a position where the items do not obstruct the aisle or compromise the safety of other passengers.

Strollers and personal shopping carts are permitted onboard. You may board a bus without folding up strollers or personal shopping carts, but it is your responsibility to ensure it does not interfere with the safety or comfort of other passengers. Oversized strollers (e.g. jogging strollers) are not permitted onboard.
